FAQ about Delivery

As a sole trader, I don't have the same resources as big companies like Amazon, so can’t process and deliver packages at the speed of light (if only!) However, I am dedicated to ensuring that every customer has an easy and smooth experience when dealing with me. I use thoughtful, clear communication to help achieve this, so you can always count on me to keep you informed about what is happening with your order.

How quickly will I get my order?

I aim to process and dispatch orders within 24/48 hours, and the courier services I use generally have delivery windows of 2-4 days.

Orders placed after 11 a.m. on a Saturday will be processed on the following Monday (giving me some restorative time off at the weekend!)

The online shop will be closed when I am taking time off, and this closure will be advertised on the main shop page as well as on the cart and checkout pages. If you go ahead with your order at a time I am shut, it will be processed on the day I reopen.

Why is there a £75 delivery charge on my order?

This is not an error; it is actually there by design! You will see this delivery charge when you add an item to your cart that is only available for collection or local delivery (within 4 miles of SL6 5EG - you can find the delivery zone under “local delivery”). This is because the item you have selected is fragile, heavy, or valuable and therefore, sadly, is unsuitable for delivery by Royal Mail or Courier. If you live near me, please get in touch to arrange local delivery. I'll then email you a voucher code to reduce the delivery charge to a more reasonable £3.50!

Where is my order?

I understand how frustrating it can be when you're eagerly waiting for your order to arrive and it doesn't show up on time. That's why I always opt for a tracked delivery service for all my parcels. When your order is dispatched, I will send you an email which will include your estimated delivery time and a tracking number. If you haven't received your order by the end of the estimated delivery window and you can't track it using the provided tracking number, please don't hesitate to let me know and I will contact the courier service to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

My item is damaged / not what I ordered!

I understand how disappointing it is to receive a damaged item or one that is different from what you ordered or expected. I am really sorry for the inconvenience this causes. If you experience any of these issues with an order, please reach out to me ASAP and provide a few photos illustrating the problem. I will arrange for the item to be collected as soon as possible and issue a refund promptly. My aim is to make the process as hassle-free for you as possible.

Returns Policy & FAQ

So what happens if you open your parcel and your excitement turns to disappointment? While I can't wave a magic wand and elevate the misfortune, I can make the steps to get a refund as simple and hassle-free as possible.

The good news is that UK law entitles you to cancel an online purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. More specifically, you must inform the seller that you want to return the item within 14 days of receiving it and then send it back to the seller within another 14 days. Once the seller receives the item, you will be refunded for the item within 14 days - so remember the rule of 14, 14, 14!

How do I return a no longer-wanted item (within 14 days of receipt)?

If you wish to cancel your order, you simply need to let me know within 14 days of receiving the item. After that, you have another 14 days to arrange and pay for the return postage. Once I receive the item, a refund will be issued using the same payment method you used.

However, please note that the refund will only cover the amount you paid for the item and not the original delivery charge.

How do I return a no longer-wanted item (15+ days after receipt)?
